Cranborne Stone was started in its original incarnation in 1968 by Mr Dominic Cardozo at Sturminster Newton with the office in the family home!

His passion for quality design has been retained within the business and a number of his original pieces remain in our ornamental range today due to their timeless appeal.

Cranborne Stone Today

Today Cranborne Stone is the independently owned UK specialist in the design and creation of cast stone architectural masonry, landscape features and garden ornaments.

We believe that our cast stone and service is second to none and challenge ourselves to ensure this remains the case, always seeking ways to improve and update our ranges, our skills and our customer support.

It is our ability to produce high quality pieces with a fine finish, for projects of all sizes, without adopting mass production methods, attitudes and inflexibility that sets us apart from others.

Our capability to recreate original designs to exacting standards has been utilised in a number of buildings of historical importance gaining our Restoration Team increasing recognition.

All of the items within our comprehensive ranges and our individually commissioned work are made by hand, utilising traditional methods and skills, to modern British Standards for Cast Stone at our workshop in Sturminster Newton, Dorset.
